I’m passionate about wildlife and the environment, so when
I was asked to think about doing one or maybe more factual stories
about young animals, I jumped at the chance. I chose elephants first
because they are the most amazing beasts, and because they lend
themselves to being put into stories. John Butler’s illustrations
for this mini series of three are quite stunning.
