Northwold Primary & Hoxton Garden Primary

Today’s school visits were all with Year 6s and revolved around Bitter Chocolate and Broken Glass. It was good to have the opportunity to fill in some of the background to the books, especially child slave labour in cocoa plantations (Bitter Chocolate). I really appreciated the efforts the children had gone to to come up with some great questions, and at Northwold Primary they had decorated the doors to their classrooms with the covers to the books. How cool for me to be able to enter the classrooms through my book covers! A big thank you to all the children and teachers at both schools for their friendliness and interest.
