Dear Max in Mexico

  • Date Published: 22nd November 2021

News came in today that the publishing license for the Mexican edition of Dear Max has been renewed for the next 7 years. That was very cheering to hear – and 7 years is an amazingly long time! – because my 3 books about Max are among my personal favourites. It’s such a shame that they’re no longer available for sale in the UK, but you can find them in libraries. They’re very gentle stories, told through the correspondence between a young boy and his favourite author, and handle a number of sensitive issues, including bullying. They also introduce children to different types of writing – prose, plays and verse.

If you have children aged around 5-8, I hope you’ll look them out.
