Olivia Colman to read The Sulky Vulture

  • Date Published: 8th June 2020

It was confirmed today that Olivia Colman will read The Sulky Vulture for an exclusive ‘Toniebox’ for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital. Tonieboxes – https://tonies.com – are audio boxes that interact with Tonie characters to tell stories and play music. The characters come from everywhere – film, television, books – and can even be a custom-made avatar. In the case of The Sulky Vulture, I’m guessing that the Tonie will be young Boris, who is the eponymous sulky vulture. Of course, being exclusive this particular Toniebox won’t be available outside GOSH, at least for the time being, but it’s great to know that one of my stories will be shared with many deserving children, and I’m so thrilled that the wonderful Olivia Colman will be reading it!

(On hearing the news, I discovered that I haven’t got even one copy of the book myself – neither hardback nor paperback! How did that happen?!)
